Energy is stored around your house. It is constantly replenished by the heat of the sun and is stored in the air. With a borehole heat pump you get 2/3 of the energy needed to heat your house and produce your hot water for free.
Vertical Closed Ground Loops
Where space is tight, vertical boreholes may be the answer. They can range from 25m - 150m deep and can be expensive, depending on location. A closed U-tube is placed in the borehole and a mixture of water and anti-freeze is circulated to collect energy.
Advantages of Ground Source Heat Pumps:
• No great size of plot required.
• Little impact on your plot.
