Westmuir Street School

This is one of the finest windows we have ever worked on. Our remit was to fully refurbish, reglazed and finish.

Our renovation works started by removing all the old paint, which was challenging around the fine carved columns with scrolls and angled reeds. This revealed some truly exceptional craftsmanship and well as showing us what it was originally manufactured from, Burmese Teak, the finest of all the timbers.

There were a few parts that we had to replace with a stock of reclaimed teak that we hold. These items were matched copying the original mouldings. Finally the whole piece was reglazed and finished by one of our onsite teams.

A fine example of clyde craftsmanship restored and fit for the forseable. This project was a Heritage angels finalist.
