The Larsen Trust was set up by the late Mrs Jeanette Kelly in memory of her daughter Vanessa Larsen.
Vanessa had complex learning disabilities and Down’s Syndrome and lived a full life at home in East Kilbride with her mum until she passed away at the age of 59.
Jeanette was a strong advocate for carers and people with learning disabilities and, throughout her life, campaigned passionately for their rights. On her death, she bequeathed her estate to the Larsen Trust.
The Trustees are now accepting applications for grants of up to £1,000 to individuals with a learning disability in the South Lanarkshire Council area.
